Asunaro vow (アスナロの誓い, Asunaro no chikai) is a consent form establishing a deal between ASU-NARO and the signer. They agree to grant a wish in return for the signer's devotion to the organization. However, the signer was never fully informed of the magnitude of what they'd be asked for in return.

Consent form

Prospective signers were approached by Midori in various disguises and pressured or manipulated into signing the consent form, though it is unclear if this was the case for all candidates. In return for signing the form, the signer gives themself over to the organization in return for having one wish granted. The form is considered binding to both minors and adults. Prior to the Death Game, Sara was the only candidate to have not signed the form.

Outsider participants did not sign the form.

Wishes

• Alice - A chance to kill Midori for real.
• Reko - A chance to meet Alice again.
• Kanna - For Kugie's wish to come true, which was for Kanna to meet her blood relatives.
• Sou - To meet his biological sibling.
• Gin - For his mother to live a long and healthy life.
• Q-taro - To recover from his injuries so he can play baseball again.
• Sara - To change Midori's coffin choice during the Banquet.
• It is not known the wishes that were granted for: Mishima, Keiji, Megumi, Ranmaru, Anzu, Hinako, Kurumada, Mai and Hayasaka.

During Chapter 3-1B, Midori mentions that Sara may be in the game because of someone's wish.

Motto

The motto in Japanese, なりたい自分に『明日なろう』, Naritai jibun ni “asunarō”^?, is a pun. 明日なろう, asunarō^? translates to "tomorrow", but also sounds like, and can be broken down to 明日-なろう, asu-narou^? meaning "become-the next day." And, of course, it's a reference to the organization's name, "ASU-NARO." So, there are layers to this phrase.

• Straightforwardly, it can translate to "Become the me I want to be, asunaro/tomorrow."
• Or contextually it could be a collective message: "[Let's] become the you, you want to be, asunaro/tomorrow."
• Or it could even be a message you'd write to yourself: "To the me I want to become, asunaro/tomorrow I will be."

Trivia

• When Sara reads the uncensored consent form and Ranmaru asks what it means, there are two possible responses Sara can give. In the original Japanese "Asunaro" is written as the kanji for the type of cypress tree. So in the jokey response she says "These are some complicated kanji." In vgperson's English translation, it was changed to be complex metaphor about devoting yourself to the environment.
